And then… she had to leave home.

Miss Honey was gone. The old porch was quiet. And for the first time in her life, Pearl was alone.

She left her pearls behind for safekeeping,
but she carried everything Miss Honey had given her.

Her kindness. Her grace. Her manners. Her love.

Pearl didn't know where she was going.
She only knew it was time to swim on.

Somewhere across Blue Shoe Lake, another story was waiting for her.
